Term as Mayor: 1871-1872
- The City of Ames incorporation was complete
- The City Council began to have a meeting room and "Order of Business"
- A city ordinance stated that firecrackers were not allowed in the city
- Chickens were no longer allowed to run at large
- Onondaga (now Main Street) was improved from Kellogg to Burnett
- A bond issue of $1,000 passed to pay for the bridge over the Skunk River on the Nevada road (Highway 30)
